Although the ladies did not win the gold medal, their result – which was greeted with a standing ovation by the fans – is still outstanding: the FTC women's handball team was able to stand on the second place of the Champion’s League podium for the third time in its history, first in 1972 under the leadership of Gyula Elek, in 2002 under the management of András Németh, and now with the support of their coach, Gábor Elek.
FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria performed outstandingly throughout the season with amazing momentum, bravado in team play and effective defence tactics, our company, as the naming sponsor, is proud of the great performance.
