Hungarian Railway 360⁰ Conference

The professional conference “Hungarian Railway 360° – The Great Railway Review”, organised by HUNGRAIL, took place in mid-March, focusing on the current challenges and future opportunities of the Hungarian railway sector.

As a new initiative this year, the event featured dedicated sections for each topic area, including infrastructure, rail logistics, the railway vehicle industry, HR and digitalisation.
Several of our colleagues contributed to the professional discussions within the thematic sections of the conference. Market players, terminal operators, railway companies and decision makers jointly examined the conditions under which rail logistics can become even more efficient, reliable and competitive in the region.
In the professional discussion on rail freight transport, our company was represented by Dr. Imre Kovács, CEO of Rail Cargo Hungaria.
Attila Czöndör, CEO of Rail Cargo Terminal BILK Zrt., shared his insights in the session dedicated to freight infrastructure capacities, terminal expansion, and the impacts of ongoing upgrades.
In the Rail Logistics section, Dr. Gyula Farkas, Head of Railway Relations at RCH and freight transport expert of Hungrail, gave a presentation on the prospects of state support for rail freight transport in Europe.
The HR panel discussion focused on the labour and skills shortages affecting the sector. RCH was represented by Dr. Teodóra Vincze, HR Director. In the panel addressing current infrastructure-related issues, our company was represented by Nóra Zentai, Head of Quality and Process Management.
The largest railway event of the spring successfully showcased the perspectives of market, operational and governmental stakeholders, providing a solid foundation for strategic planning and ensuring that participants received first hand insights into the most relevant topics in the railway sector.
