The ministry has extended Rail Cargo Hungaria's rail safety and ECM certificate

The Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) has renewed both the validity of the rail safety certificate, which is indispensable for the fulfilment of the company's core activity, and the so-called ECM certificate, which functions as a prerequisite for transport within the European Union.

The preparatory work for the certification started in August 2020 and the assessment carried out by TM – with the participation of the European Railway Agency – was completed on 24th February. The detailed inspections included, among others, the safety management system of RCH, and the review of the correct implementation of the company's activities and processes in accordance with the regulations and the security requirements.

The certificates, which were extended until the end of February 2026, confirm at the highest level: RCH's safety management and maintenance system (ECM = Entity in Charge of Maintenance) continues to meet the requirements of the current rail transport act and the ministerial decree on railway safety.
