The Rail Cargo Group has leased the Logisztár Terminal to LX Pantos

Christoph Grasl, Member of the Board of Rail Cargo Group handed over the keys of the Logisztár Kft. operating in the Sóstó Industrial Park to Jeonghwan Woo EU Regional Biz Group Leader, the South Korean global logistics company LX Pantos.

The event was attended by SeungHyun RO (Head of W&D Business unit), JaeHyuck AUH (Head of the Shipping Business unit, Executive Vice President), and HaHyoung LEE (Head of Global Rail Biz Division).

The partners intend to work together, building on Rail Cargo Group's complex rail logistics capabilities, to explore business opportunities in the automotive and battery transport sectors in Europe. They have previously already confirmed this intention by signing an agreement.

The 36 thousand m2 facility, located next to Székesfehérvár, Hungary, will have two 360-metre-long rail tracks and will contribute to meeting the logistical needs of the Hungarian EV industry's future development, while supporting the Hungarian national economy's ambitions. Besides its excellent capacities, the terminal's favorable geographical location, its accessibility and its proximity to the motorway M7 make it suitable for the high-quality performance of complex tasks of major importance.

At the event, Christoph Grasl expressed his conviction that as a result of the cooperation, the facility will serve the business objectives of LX Pantos as its operator, which is a global player in rail, sea and air transport, and will also stimulate the region's freight traffic. He assured his Korean partner that Rail Cargo Group's extensive European rail transport network, its companies specializing in advanced rail logistics, intermodal transport and traction, and its extensive network of contacts in the automotive transport sector, will provide favorable business conditions for the realization of LX Pantos's European logistics ambitions.

Jeonghwan Woo, the EU Regional Biz Group Leader of LX Pantos Europe, emphasized that the Székesfehérvár Rail Terminal will stand as the central hub bridging Asia and Europe with the ocean transport and international rail networks. LX Pantos will provide the best logistics solutions to customers.
